About the Our Little Princess Foundation

Olivia was taken so quickly, without reason or warning.

Dealing with the tragic and unexpected death of Olivia has been the most difficult and frustrating experience our family has been through.

As it stands, we have no exact reason or explanation for why Olivia is no longer with us.

All we have is the assumption that she died as a result of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), also commonly known as Cot Death.

After Olivia’s passing, we were confused, angry and left empty and lost. We were offered support and guidance from many people, including the Scottish Cot Death Trust.

We found them to be understanding and supportive without being overbearing.  They offered support, advice and put Michelle and Andrew in touch with other parents who had suffered the same loss.

Scottish Cot Death Trust receives very little funding from the Government or charitable trusts, relying on voluntary donations and fundraising to keep their vital work going.

We have created this foundation in order to raise money for Scottish Cot Death Trust in the name of our little princess, Olivia.

We hope that through hard work and research, one day we can find a reason why this happened to Olivia, and that we can try to stop this happening to any other family.

Scottish Cot Death Trust
A baby dies every nine days of cot death in Scotland and the majority of families will never know why their healthy baby has died, for no apparent reason. The Scottish Cot Death Trust is the only cot death charity in Scotland trying to find the answers through funding research.

The Scottish Cot Death Trust also provides a wide range of support for bereaved families and educates the public and professionals about cot death and how to reduce the risks. By supporting the Scottish Cot Death Trust you can help us make a difference.

What your money will do:

  • Research the causes of cot death
